Heatmap

Reported crime across Denver

The map below shades Denver by the intensity of recently reported crime. Warmer colors mark blocks where incidents cluster most heavily — typically the entertainment districts around LoDo and the 16th Street Mall, stretches of East Colfax, and parts of the Capitol Hill and Five Points corridors. Cooler areas, including much of southeast Denver and the residential blocks around Washington Park and the Highlands, see comparatively little reported activity.

Heatmap reflects Denver Police Department reported incidents within the mapped window. Locations are approximate, reported to the block level, and intended for neighborhood comparison rather than pinpoint accuracy.

Use the filter buttons to switch between all reported crime, violent offenses (homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, weapons) and property offenses (burglary, theft, vehicle theft, vandalism). The heatmap is normalized so that a handful of high-volume blocks don't wash out the rest of the city, which makes neighborhood-to-neighborhood differences easier to see.
